EndNote 21 for windows or mac is available on the UTAS Software & utilities page.
Check your computer systems requirements on the Clarivate Analytics website [opens in a new page] but do not download from there.
When you are ready to install, come back to the University of Tasmania page [Step 3 above] to obtain the UTAS licenced version of EndNote.
It is recommended that you create a Compressed backup copy of existing EndNote libraries prior to downloading a new version, even if you have been using the sync feature via EN online.
To Save a Compressed Library backup: (.enlx)
1. Open your EndNote Library
2. Go to the File menu >>>Compressed Library
3. Name the .enlx file (ensure the file name is different) and save it to the location where you store your backups.
Current staff and students of the University of Tasmania are eligible to install EndNote software on University and home computers. You will need your UTAS username and password.
NB: if you have issues downloading EndNote, please contact the UTAS Service Desk for support.
Note for Staff & HDR researchers: If you have a staff device provided by UTAS, install EndNote from within the Software Center.
Windows
Regular Updates after installation:
EndNote releases small updates regularly, and after installation users on their own personal devices will be able to grab these updates under the Help menu in EndNote.
Open the EndNote Library, select the Help menu, then "Check for Updates". It is useful to check this from time to time to ensure the latest patches are downloaded.

Note for Staff: If you have a staff device provided by UTAS, go to the Self Service app on the mac to install EndNote.
