September 24th 2019: EndNote have released a major update (Endnote X9.3.1 for macs) to ensure 64 bit compatability with the new Mac OS (Catalina).
The new X9.3.2 mac installer is now available on the IT software and utilities download page
EndNote advises that Mac users should install EN X9 and update to X9.3.2 before they plan to update their operating system to the new Mac OS 10.15 Catalina to ensure workflow is uninterrupted.
Mac users who are using earlier versions of EndNote (eg X8 or X9.2) and who prefer not to upgrade to ENX9.3.2 on their devices at this time, should delay upgrading their computer to the new Catalina Mac OS.
Do not upgrade to the new Catalina macOS if you prefer to keep working with EndNote X8. X8 and X9.2 will work with Mojave macOS.
14th January 2020 EndNote Updates: Clarivate have released the major update EN X9.3.1 for Windows. Existing EN users will be prompted upon opening the software when updates are available.
