EndNote for Law (AGLC4)

How to set-up and use EndNote to create references according to AGLC4

Download and Install EndNote

Instructions for downloading and configuring EndNote are available at the general EndNote guide below:

It is essential that you save your EndNote library on the hard drive of your computer. Saving the library to cloud storage (such as Dropbox or OneDrive) or networked storage (such as your university P: drive) may cause the library to corrupt and become unusable.

EndNote X9

For latest version of EndNote, EndNote 21, see the EndNote Guide.

Download and install the UTS EndNote files

The University of Technology Sydney has created an EndNote output style which formats citations according to AGLC4. They have kindly agreed to share their files and instructions with UTAS students.

Go to the UTS EndNote guide and follow the instructions to install AGLC.

Reminder: This output style will format the majority of citations correctly, but it is your responsibility to proofread your citations to ensure they comply with AGLC4.

Download the UTAS Library filter

Download and install the UTAS Library catalogue EndNote filter, following the instructions on the page linked below.

This filter allows you to import reference information directly from the UTAS catalogue
