As of 25 March, all campus libraries will be closed until further notice, in accordance with Government restrictions and guidelines.
We understand how important these facilities are and we will continue to provide library services in different ways. Library staff are digitising high-use resources so they can be available online. We will be working to minimise the impact on our students and researchers.
Some student support services will continue to operate where the new national guidelines can be met. Signage will be posted advising which student contact points have closed. If you have any queries about this please contact U.Connect@utas.edu.au
ACCESS TO LIBRARY RESOURCES
Those of you who have print material currently on loan may keep this material until further notice. There will be no fines to staff and students who are unable to return books by the due date.
We have a vast amount of electronic resources available to assist students to complete assignments. The best way of finding these is to use the mega search function at: www.utas.edu.au/library
You can search for reading list items here: rlms.utas.edu.au/erl/
Library guides highlight key resources for your subject area, including information on ebooks and databases. These can be found at utas.libguides.com/home
We will continue to keep you updated with the latest Library information, including new electronic material, via the library website. If you can’t find what you are looking for please don’t hesitate to email the Library Resources Team.
ACCESS TO COMPUTERS
We understand some students require access to computers and data. Because of this we will continue to operate some labs and study spaces. These will be supervised to ensure safe physical distancing can be maintained.
Details of these arrangements will be provided in tomorrow’s update.
