At the top right of the Search Results screen, there will be three options:
Relevance, Page Options and Share.
1. Relevance: Allows you to sort your results by the newest/oldest date or by relevance.
2. Page Options: Choose the type of page layout you want, including how many search results are shown for each page.
3. Share( as seen in image to the left): Add selected or all search results to your folder (remember to sign in to MyEBSCO Host so as to be able to view folder in another session); create an email alert or RSS Feed for that particular search; or use Permalink to have a persistent link to the search results.
When you click on the title of a resource, it will take you through to a record describing the item. You will find this list of tools on the right side of the screen.
Add to folder: Saves a copy of the record into a folder. To store the items in the folder for future use, log into EBSCO Host.
Print/ Email/ Save: User is able to choose preferred field format and citation format when printing, emailing, or saving.
Cite: This option will show you the citation formatted in the different styles available.
Export: Exports the citation into a bilbliographic management tool such as EndNote or RefNote.
Tip: Avoid the EndNote Web option as it will take you through to the EndNote website rather than connecting to the EndNote Library on your computer and will require a separate username and password.
Create Note: Allows you to take notes on records and store them in a temporary folder for later viewing. To save the notes for future use, log into EBSCO Host.
Permalink: Provides a permanent link to the item. This link can then be used to share the record with others, a useful tool in group work.
Bookmark: Share the link on a social networking site such as Facebook or Twitter.
To access some of the features available within MegaSearch, you will need to sign in to My EBSCO Host.
To create a new account, click on the Sign In link at the top of the MegaSearch screen and follow the prompts.
* Remember: Your UTAS username and password will not grant you access to these features. You must create a separate My EBSCO Host account.
