UTAS Higher Degree Research (HDR) Candidates

Every HDR candidate submits their thesis to the Graduate Research Office as part of the Graduate Research Examination Process.

The Graduate Research Office automatically submits your thesis to the Open Access Repository following your graduation.

UTAS Honours and UTAS Coursework Masters Graduates

Any Honours or Coursework Masters graduate can submit the final assessed version of their thesis to the Open Access Repository via  

To submit your thesis,

  1. Complete and sign the Thesis Access Form 2017. (If your thesis contains files in different formats, please note this on the form.)
  2. Scan an electronic copy of the signed Thesis Access form 2017.
  3. Submit, a PDF of the final assessed version of your thesis plus, the scanned Thesis Access form 2017  to .

Please note:  No thesis is deposited in the Open Access Repository until graduation is verified by the UTAS Graduation Verification Service.

UTAS Honours and Coursework Masters graduates prior to 2010

UTAS Honours and Coursework Masters graduates prior to the end of 2010 were not  required to submit their thesis electronically.

If you graduated prior to the end of 2010, you can elect to submit a PDF version of your complete thesis to the Open Access Repository and make your thesis globally discoverable. 

To submit your thesis:

  1. Complete, sign and scan the Thesis Access Form 2017
  2. Create a PDF of the final assessed version of your thesis
  3. Email both documents to:
