Research Data Management

This guide will assist you to store and manage your research data throughout the research data lifecycle, from planning to publishing!

Why Store Data?

Successful data storage and preservation ensures security, policy compliance, as well as enabling your data to be found and re-used. It involves:

  • Storing and backing-up data in secure repositories, with complete and accurate metadata
  • Routinely checking data is still usable and is unchanged
  • Including copies of software (or emulators) required to access and use your data, or migrate data to up-to-date formats
